I value your privacy, and am committed to maintaining trust. I'll never sell personal data to third parties for marketing or any other purpose. This page was last reviewed on 20th November 2018.


Types of Data I Collect

Cookies • A cookie is a small data file that is placed on your computer's hard-drive whenever you visit a website, designed to enhance your browsing experience. My website is hosted by Format. They use a variety of cookies; some are functional (e.g. to redirect website URLs) while others allow me to see how my website is performing so I can keep improving it. Types of data gathered: IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, etc. This information does not identify individual users.

Directly from you • You may have shared your name, email address, website URL, etc. by emailing me. For your own safety, you should never publicly disclose details such as your social security number, information regarding your race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health, criminal history, or trade union membership.


Third Parties

Format • This is the host of my website (see 'Cookies' section above). You can read their privacy policy here.

Google Analytics • I use this service to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour patterns. This information is processed in a way that does not individually identify anyone. I will not make any attempt to find out any visitors' identities; nor will I disclose anything else to Google. You can read Google's privacy policy here.

GMail & GSuite • If you email me, you are sending identifiable information about yourself to me via Google. I review my email archive once every quarter, and permanently delete any emails that are no longer relevant for current/future projects. The only exception is information that I have to keep for legal obligations; e.g. HMRC requires a certain number of years' worth of financial records. You can read Google's privacy policy here.

Social media • You may share personal, identifiable information via my social media channels, so please be cautious what you disclose publicly. I will never take your contact or personal information and use them for marketing, data processing or any other purpose. Your Rights

You are entitled to view, amend, or request that I delete the identifiable personal information I hold about you. The only exception is information that I have to keep for legal obligations, e.g. communication relating to invoices for HMRC must be kept on file for audit purposes. Send me an email at [email protected] if you have any questions.
